Here's something I just learned about a kitchen tool I've had for ages. See this picture? This, as you probably know, is a zester - for getting the flavorful top layer off citrus fruits (and leaving the bitter white pith behind). The five small holes at the top do that job. But see the part that I've circled in red? Do you know what that does?
