Hello all! I'm just popping in (while I briefly have access to the internet), to say that posting may be sporadic for the next couple of weeks, as DP, Miss B, and I are on a two-week holiday a long way from home. I'll hope to be able to post some pictures in a couple of days, but in the meantime, I'll leave you a couple of clues as to where in the world we are:
1. We're wearing fleeces and flannel pajamas (sometimes at the same time).
2. If we're brave enough, we can dip our feet into two different (chilly) oceans on the same day.
3. Today we had close encounters with whales, baboon, and penguins.
And now I'm off to bed to finish sleeping off my jet lag....

Ethical dilemmas
This was a new thing for me. Unlike many food bloggers, I neither seek out nor generally receive unsolicited requests for product reviews. So I (perhaps naively) didn’t really think about it in commercial terms, but more in terms of helping out a friend of a friend. I said I would, provided that the producers were prepared for an honest review of their product that might not be favorable. KJ replied that they wouldn’t expect anything else, and I confirmed my agreement.

Happy Fourth
Wishing all my fellow USians a very happy and safe Fourth of July! And, just in case you're still dithering about what to bring to the BBQ, a few suggestions for cookout-friendly food....
